What to Bring
To help you prepare for your day in the field, here is a quick guide on what to pack. We will discuss your specific gear in detail during our pre-workshop consultation.
1. Equipment
-
Cameras: Whether you shoot on a compact, bridge, or DSLR system, bring the setup you are most comfortable carrying.
-
Tripods: Useful for standard workshops, but strictly essential for all Long Exposure sessions.
-
Filters & Accessories: If you have filters you want to learn how to use, please bring them along. You won’t need any flash or lighting equipment, as we work exclusively with natural light.
-
Camera Protection: Weather in England can change rapidly. We highly recommend bringing a rain sleeve to protect your camera body and lens.
2. Clothing & Footwear
-
Layer Up: The weather on the coast and moors can be unpredictable. Come prepared for wind, rain, and sun by wearing adaptable layers.
-
Sturdy Footwear: Walking boots with excellent sole grip are essential. The terrain can be uneven, wet, and rocky, and we want to keep you and your camera gear safe and steady.
3. Food & Drink
-
Pack a Lunch: We will take a break for a picnic lunch during the workshop. Bringing your own food ensures you have exactly what you like and caters perfectly to any dietary requirements.
-
Stay Hydrated: Outdoor photography can be thirsty work! Please bring plenty of water or a warm flask to keep your energy up throughout the day.
